Hello High Tides!

Meet #2 is tomorrow, June 17, at Queensmill. The first splash will be at 6:00 PM.

Their pool is pretty easy to find on navigation apps, however, it is in the thick of the neighborhood. They have reserved the paved lot for us with spillover on street parking (see grey area on map). They have asked their team to park in the grassy lot, but there may be some spots there for us as well. Please be on the lookout for the parking attendants who will direct you. PLEASE CONSIDER CARPOOLING. It’s going to be VERY tight!

Timeline:

Queensmill warm-ups: 5:10 – 5:30pm
High Tides warm-ups: 5:30 – 5:50pm

Volunteers - check in at our volunteer table by 5:30pm.

Meet Starts - 6:00pm

Pool Deck/ Observation Details:

Queensmill has a small pool deck. There are designated spots for our team shown on the attached map, including the pavilion. There is overflow seating in the grassy area outside of the pool deck. Please bring your own chairs and possibly a pop-up tent, depending on the weather. There are also picnic tables available for our use in the pavilion.

Timer and Strokes/Turns Meeting:

Please meet at the announcer’s table promptly at 5:45pm for a quick meeting.

Food/ Concessions:

They have FABULOUS concessions area, so come hungry! They will have burgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken sandwiches, baked potatoes, macaroni and cheese, fresh fruit, baked goods, candy, chips, sodas, water, and sports drinks. Payment is with cash, Venmo, Tap to Pay, credit card, etc. They will also have the Kona Ice truck.

Important: Prior to leaving the meet after your swimmer is finished swimming, please check with the coaches to make sure your swimmer is not included on a relay. Quite often, it is necessary for coaches to make changes to the relay lineups after the meet has started. If a swimmer is scheduled to be on a relay and leaves before the relay, it is not fair to other swimmers who have stayed to swim, only to have their relay disqualified.

Weather: In the event of inclement weather, please do not leave until you have been given official notification from a board member or coach that the meet will not continue. Ideally, we would like to ride out the storm and continue the meet.

The Queensmill pool is a meter pool.
