Welcome to the 2025 High Tides!

Welcome to the High Tides! We are so excited for the new season!

Here are a few informational items to get you started for the 2025 season:

1. Practice: Practice starts Monday, May 12. The schedule is as follows:

  • During the school year (May 12 - May 30), practices are Monday – Thursday afternoon (no practice Memorial Day Monday) with additional practice Friday, May 16 (before pool is open):
    • 4:30 to 5:30- ages 11 and up
    • 5:30 to 6:00 - ages 6 and under
    • 6:00 to 6:45 - ages 7 and 8
    • 6:45 to 7:45 - ages 9 and 10 (to include any 11-year-olds that cannot make earlier practice due to school)
  • After Chesterfield County Public School year is over (June 2 – July 14):
    • Mornings, Mon-Fri (swimmers are encouraged to attend in the morning if possible):
      • 8:00 to 9:00 - 11 and older
      • 9:00 to 9:45 - 8 and under
      • 9:45 to 10:45 - 9 and 10
    • Afternoons, Mon - Thurs:
      • 4:45 to 5:30 - 11 and older
      • 5:30 to 6:15 - 9 and 10
      • 6:15 to 7:00 - 8 and under

2. Parents: The Info for Parents section of the website has a lot of important information for you including the meet schedule, practice schedule, and an overview of what to expect from a swim meet.

3. Website: Chesterfield Aquatic League is switching over to a new computer platform this year - Swimtopia. This website from Swimtopia has tutorial videos on how to navigate and access the new site. Our website address is hallsleyswim.org.

4. Volunteers: A swim meet is a major production with a LOT of moving parts. A home meet requires 72 different volunteer positions in order to run smoothly. As a result, each family will be required to volunteer throughout the season and must accumulate a minimum of 6 (six) credits over the course of the season. Online signup for jobs will open on May 18 at 4:00 PM.

5. Suits, Caps, and Other Merchandise: High Tides suits, caps, and clothing are for sale at Midlothian Swim Shop. You can order online HERE. If you order by May 1 and choose bulk shipping, your order will be delivered to us and we will deliver it to your house. If you need to try a suit on, you can visit their store at 6800 Deer Run Drive, Midlothian, VA. 23112. They are behind Quest swimming and across the street from the Clover Hill Library.
